Today in his pen, there were strange markings as though an miniature alien ship had landed several times. What made those marks? Wilbur is the only animal in his pen and nothing else, other than magpies and the occasional raven visit him, and me of course, but he lives next door to his wife, who is currently pregnant and ready to deliver any moment.
The strange circles are in many places in his pen. You see, Wilbur likes to push his bowl, or actually is rubber tray, around as his play toy. There is little point putting food in it, because he immediately dumps it. His wife, Clara, is much tidier and does not dump her bowls at all. Wilbur dumps his water as soon as he has had a drink, then he doesn't have any more. During the winter, that is not so bad, because he will eat snow, but a piggie has to eat a lot of snow to get enough water, so when the water comes, he does drink a lot. In the summer I will build a heavy box around his bowl out of something that is impossible for him to turn over or to dump. For now, he enjoys playing with the bowl and no harm is done, except today, I could not find it, only lots of these circles.
Then, there it was against the fence by the spent bales. He had pushed it and it actually rolled over the bale so it left no trail or there were no footprints to it. Ha ha, Wilbur, good one!
