the coffee/spice grinder has found a new job. After trying to crush plantain wtih a mortar and pestle, I gave up and put it in the spice grinder with a little organic olive oil. It worked so well but the final product will have to be put through a fine cloth to remove the fine bits of vegetative matter.
this is the infusion. It is the macerated plantain in organic olive oil. It will sit now for several weeks while the olive oil becomes infused with the plantain. Then the plantain will be put through a fine cloth and the oil wil slowly make its way out leaving the leaves behind. This oil is liquid gold and perfect for sores and stings.
