The beautiful Maremma puppies came home in November. They were so cute, long legged and little faces with big brown eyes...absolutely adorable. They had no human interaction before, being raised in a sheep barn. The previous owner did not pet them or touch them, and they ate grain when they were hungry. I suspect they did not get fed much, because they were undersize for their age. Since they have been on the Fat Ewe Farm, they have grown. Jade tried to stuff herself in the puppy house today, but as you can see, she did not fit. So, she backed in, thinking that would be better, but when she got her butt in, the traction to move further was cumbersome and she stopped, half in and half out. Of course, when she was little, she could go in and turn around inside. Now she uses the big dog house, the igloo. The dogs have a few choices of places to sleep out of the elements, from the barn or underneath the hay tarps, to several dog houses.
Jade is more willing to learn than Jenna and knows how to sit for her food. Jenna may know how, but there is no way she is going to do it. She would rather steal Jade's food once she has it. Silly puppies!
