Robbie was bad yesterday morning. I went out at 5 am to feed the baby goats their bottles and Robbie led the pack of dogs to the neighbour's to chase the cows. The cows just arrived, three of them, and the dogs do patrol that farm as well as this one. They did not understand the arrival of the bovines, so they wanted to get them gone. I had to high tail it over there. The dogs heard my displeasure and took off, only Mike and Joe ran across the highway, so I had to get them back. Robbie took a route where he would not encounter my wrath, as did the rest of the dogs. Mike and Joe came with me back to the farm, safely and the other dogs hid in the bush until they arrived. I sure hope they got the message. Robbie has been tied up since then, except tonight, when I played ball with him for a half hour. He got hot, and went to the newly dug swale to lay in the cold water, but he dropped his toy in it and could not find it. The water was only about 4 inches deep, so he nose dived until he retrieved the toy. He liked that game and since he was hot, he dropped it back in the water and then hunted for it once more. He loves swimming and never hesitates to go in when he can. Another thing he loves, is to chase the stream of the hose, so we play that way too, and he ends up soaked and I end up splattered. Robbie the Wonder Dog, um Water Dog plays again!
