The Tunis often twin and can breed out of season. They are extremely hardy in any climate and have a lovely long soft wool suitable for next to the skin garments. Although the lambs are born a terra cotta brick red, the body produces a cream coloured wool rather than red. The guard hairs remain the red colour. The ears are often pendulous and give the sheep a permanent sad countenance. Those bred with modern sheep can also have large droopy ears that stand on either side of the head. The lambs are vigourous and up and nursing in a short period of time. The Fat Ewe Farm is delighted to welcome two new ewe lambs from their Tunis mother and father. The father remained on his breeding farm, though. The little girls are very beautiful, don't you agree?
